Wildflowers

A while back I explained that the state flower of Texas is the Bluebonnet (lupine family). If you want to see Bluebonnets, come to Texas in late March or early April.

My husband and I took a drive on Sunday. Leaving  Houston we headed west to the small town of Chappell Hill. where we found country roads flanked by a sea of blue.

Mixed in with these Bluebonnets are another Texas favorite: The Indian Paintbrush.

Come back tomorrow and I will show you one of our favorite animals....
