My favorite tree in the mountains is the Aspen. These trees share a root system which is why they grow in groves. They have a beautiful white trunk and almost heart shaped leaves that seem to dance in the breeze. In the fall they produce vivid colors anywhere from a soft gold to burnt red.
Aspens are beautiful anytime of the year, but especially in the fall. Didn't know before about their root system. Thanks for the info.
