Lake San Cristobal three miles south of Lake City is a great place to take a morning walk. It's actually Colorado's second largest natural lake, formed over eight hundred years ago by a slide. The haze in the air is smoke drifting all the way from the forest fires in south west New Mexico.
It's a picture postcard scene, and I mean that in the most complimentary way. The only flaw is the haze from the forest fire...such a terrible event for NM.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kate. We had a small amount of rain yesterday, but need a lot more moisture before our area drops out of the EXTREME fire danger category. Scary!
