A Fence and a Gate

I took this on the way to the supermarket. Summering high in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado....I drive sixty miles through scenery like this about every ten days to a supermarket
The roads curves and goes through the middle of those two cliffs, which we refer to as the gates. They are the gates to our beautiful valley in Hinsdale County, Colorado. The most remote county in the USA's lower forty eight. Linking to : Good Fences

  1. Beautiful; it looks like a painting. This should be framed, Janey.

  8. I had no idea you were the most remote county! That's a long way to go when you run out of a staple!

  9. Wow that is gorgeous country (and a great fence) but I can't imagine driving 60 miles for groceries. I'm at the grocery store here almost every single day and sometimes more then once in the same day.
