Fine Music

You would not expect for this small mountain town to have a chamber music series.....but we do, and have for a long time. We have three, sometimes  four, concerts a summer.

Please excuse the bad quality of this photo. I was sneaking a photo for you. This is The Caprock Brass Quintet. They are not only very talented, but very entertaining. The group is made up of professors from Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, Texas
After the concert, the underwriters and the musicians, attend what we call an after glow party.
This summer, the after party is being held at an art gallery, just down the street.
There are tables with snacks and a wine bar,
So, you can not only enjoy the food, have a chance to meet the musicians, but view (and or buy), the art.
I think it was a fine idea for the owner to offer his gallery for the reception.

  1. Small towns can be surprising in their cultural offerings. I'm sure the music was a pleasure.

We have music festivals here all summer long, including a couple of chamber music festivals.

  4. Dearest Janey,
That proves once again that quality one can find in small towns, small chamber orchestras and even in the presentation of reception food afterwards.
