The Antique Mall

It was a beautiful sunny day here in north Texas yesterday, but very cold! I decided that if I wanted to walk, I may as well walk around the Antique Mall. It is a huge warehouse building with loads of individual stalls. I saw several things that stopped me in  my tracks.
I really like these plates with the fish on them. They would look great at our summer home, in the mountains, where fishing is one of the things we do. They are antique, from Germany...and too pricey for me. ...but I sure did like  them. In a perfect world I would have a lot of storage space (which I don't), and own many many sets of dishes.

I also slowed down my pace, when passing this French enamel ware pitcher. Very unusual I thought. Not sure where I would put it....or why I would want it. ...but it caught my eye. Remind yourself Janey.."You are getting rid of things....not collecting them".

Awww. A soup tureen. I could use this, but, I am sure one of my readers would agree that I am getting carried away with this blue and white theme. I came here to get some exercise....which is exactly what I got..Maybe next time I should bundle up and walk outside....Janey

  1. Janey, you appreciate beautiful things but have enough will-power to resist. Nothing wrong with that!!

  6. The soup tureen is gorgeous! I don't think I'll ever get tired of the blue and white dishes. An antique mall sounds like the perfect place to get exercise to me. ;)
