The Valentine Dinner

No, we didn't go to a fancy restaurant....Actually, it was a beautiful evening, and my sister Suzanne and I sat with sister Polly on her front porch sipping wine...
While our husbands were busy as bees in the kitchen, cooking dinner . Tom put the salad together,
Mike cooked the steak
and Jimmy not only prepared a vegetable, but put the finishing touch on the table.
I don't know about you...but I think there is something very romantic about a husband working in the kitchen.
I hope that you had a wonderful Valentine...we sure did.

  1. They look very pleased with themselves, and I bet you all enjoyed it so much more sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine and not having to prepare it.

  2. Don't understand why the curmudgeons of the world dislike VD. Sure it is commercialized, but what fun it is…just as these wonderful husbands demonstrated.

  3. Dearest Janey,
That was really precious and for sure created lasting memories of love...
We just ate at home; my husband did heat up part of the asparagus and goat cheese lasagna that I made in the oven the day before! So we had an easy supper together and that's good. I slept for 12 hours so I did catch up on my sleep deprivation of the past couple of weeks on Valentine's Day!
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  4. Oh wow, all those men cooking for you, I like that! Valentine day is not an issue for me. Commerce tries hard to introduce it here, but only the young people do something with it.
