A Long Day

The fourth of July was a long day! It's been a tradition for a few years to end the day by watching fireworks from our deck (which has a great view) and Tom grilling hot dogs. Well, due to fire danger , thankfully, the fireworks were cancelled......but the party must go on!

We had twelve adults (a few ended up on the deck)

and six children under the age of eight....who I might add, entertained themselves and were so well behaved.

Normally my friend Betty makes the cake, but she is not in town yet. So, seven year old Taylor and I tried to make it......and had a ball doing it!
