Behind the Station

Remember yesterday's blog about the old Texaco? Well down the dusty driveway out back (through that open gate)...is a happening place!
Yep, the Backyard is the place to be on a summer's night

Country performers have concerts here while you dine on barbecue.
The sheer wall behind the stage makes for a natural amphitheater..

The barbecue hut
The new restrooms. Certainly an improvement over the  porta potties.
The Backyard's summer lineup. We have tickets for Moe Bandy and Asleep at the Wheel!

  1. The bunting on the railing looks like they're getting ready for the 4th of July! Sounds like that's where you might be on that day.

    1. No, There is a big parade here....then games in the park. Normally we have fireworks at 9pm and view them from our deck (with all of our friends) Fireworks cancelled due to fire threat. I will have a party here anyway. Twenty five guests.

  2. I just noticed that Michael Martin Murphy will be there on July 23; you definitely should get tickets for him. I used to hear and see him a lot around Taos, NM.

  4. That is a hidden treasure behind the Texaco. Lovely place against the rocks to watch a performance.
