Brush Creek Hike

Early  yesterday morning, we head out on the Brush Creek Trail

The vistas are ever changing as we climbed higher

I loved the wildflowers that  were blooming along the way

These Daises seemed to be sprouting out of a rock

I couldn't identify all of the flowers, but I knew this one. It is the Columbine...the state flower of Colorado

Finally, two miles in was our destination. The banks of Brush Creek

Which makes a perfect place for a picnic!

  1. Beautiful wildflowers! That's quite a hike for those kids; at that age mine would have been complaining every step of the way. Perhaps the view was too impressive to notice tired feet.
