Celebrating

I hope all of you that celebrate Labor Day had a fun day. Fall is upon us, especially here in the Rocky Mountains
We got together with a group of friends, at a pavilion in a county park just south of the lake. It's nice because it is covered and you don't have to worry about rain.
It also has a large stone fireplace to keep you warm
I think we all had way too many snacks, before the actual meal!
A few of us posed for a picture.
Then it was time to grill the hot dogs.
Some folks preferred to gill their own in the fireplace.
I finally corralled a few of the guys. It was too cold for shorts, but my Tom says he will wear long pants when he grows up.
Dessert was chocolate cake followed by chocolate fudge.
I think we all ate too much...so I am going on a long walk this morning.

  1. You hardy folks feast well even on a picnic!

  2. Tom is right! Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional.
Looks like some of the fun I enjoyed when I lived in Montana.

  3. That dessert looks to die for. The structure reminds me of similar structures I've seen in the odd park here.
