A Chef in My Kitchen

My husband and I look forward to attending summer plays over the mountain in Creede,Co., where they have a repertory theater with outstanding talent.
John, pictured above is an accomplished equity actor from Denver,Co who has for years spent his summers acting in Creede.
 What some folks don't realize is that John is also an accomplished chef. Trained not only in the U.S. but in Italy and France.
So, a group of us bid on a dinner (at a fundraiser) for twelve to be cooked by John in one of our homes.

Tom and I offered our home to host the event


It's not that we had enough room at our small table


but had room to set up an extra table near the stairs.

The first course was a delicious crab cake
Followed by expertly grilled salmon, asparagus and served on a bed of favorable rice

and the grand finale was a scrumptious Upside down apple/caramel tarte tatin.
Everyone seemed to have a great time and I know they all enjoyed the meal!

  3. Oh Janey to have a real professional cook to make your dinner, excellent. That looks so very tasty, I would love to sit there on that table.
