A Holiday Tour

Some of you may know that I really like home tours. So today for the third year in a row we (Tom and I), were volunteer docents in one of the six homes in a historic neighborhood Holiday Home Tour.
The large Georgian style home where we worked was built in 1917.
You weren't supposed to take photographs, but this homeowner gave me special permission...so I took just a few. This is the room where I was stationed....and it was a good choice on my part.
You see our weather has turned cold, and with all of the doors opening all the time, It was nice and toastie in a room with the fireplace going.
Just beyond the formal living room was a sun porch that doubled as a playroom/t.v. room. I especially liked the comfy yellow chairs trimmed in blue.
In all at least five of the homes the dining
room tables were set for a dinner party...or perhaps for Christmas.
The light fixture in the dining room is original to the home. See the light bulbs?
Well, they are Edison filament light bulbs. The current homeowner has been in the house 18yrs...and they have never had to replaced any of these bulbs!
Such a nice day!
