Devastation

As a former Houstonian, I can't ignore the devastation that is occurring on the Texas Gulf coast due to Hurricane Harvey.
Catastrophic flooding is still occurring, mostly in the Houston, Texas area.
People are trying to escape anyway they can,
others are having to be rescued...from vehicles
and from their homes.
Both  modest homes

and mansions alike.

Even animals are having to find higher ground.
BUT! I am happy to report that good samaritans from across our great nation are coming to the rescue. This line of trucks are headed from Louisiana to Texas to help with the rescues.
Please keep our south Texas area in your thoughts and prayers.

  1. Dearest Janey,
Yes, it is devastating and very hard on humans and all 4-legged creatures. Good samaritans are a true blessing in this nation. Such goodness and unison is one of the good things that comes from a natural disaster.
Hugs and prayers added for south Texas!

  2. It is a terrible sight to see it on tv how devastating floods are. So many people leaving everything behind and try to reach a dry place.

  3. Natural disasters like this are definitely occurring more often Janey. Hopefully we can learn from and prepare a bit better each time. Evacuation would be hard but it certainly would have been better on this occasion.
