This is the other painting that the landlord brought over the other day. It is by Ft. Worth Artist Beth Lea Clardy 1919-2004. Beth Clardy was also dancer in local theater here, an involved civic leader, and the Art Specialist for The Fort Worth Independent School District. A graduate of Texas Christian University and scholarship winner to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, she painted for over fifty years.
I don't know a lot about art. But, I do know what I like and I like this piece. It gives me a peaceful feeling and I like the use of color.
I like them both.
ReplyDeletei like these colors and the scene very much, too.
