The cold front finally made it to south Texas last night...and I am very pleased. I made a big pot of soup (turkey kielbasa vegetable) and we will eat on it all week, mainly at lunch. I cook less since we have become empty nesters, but I do like eating at home. Do you still cook a big meal every night?

Hello:
ReplyDeleteThere is something very comforting about a bowl of delicious homemade soup and this looks particularly good. The really cold weather has yet to reach us but the nights are now on the chilly side.
not hardly. :)
ReplyDeletewe were below freezing this morning, but not for long - just a skim on the water and hard frost everywhere.
I don't cook at all but Sam will fix a big pot of soup when it turns cold.
ReplyDeleteThat looks very good Janey, I would love to taste it. I did the cooking here every day for about thirty years. Now Stef does the weekend cooking and I do the weekdays.
ReplyDeleteThat pot looks terrific; soup, alternating with stew in the winter, is a dish that I make all year round. We eat well in this house!
ReplyDeleteYummy looking soup janey, I could live on soup and fresh bread in winter, so comforting! I do cook most nights but these days not such big meals, something light and tasty!
