Santa Fe part III

The Basilica of St Francis of Assisi, just one block off of the central plaza, is one of the many Spanish architecture churches and missions in the area.

Also in the center of town is the famous Loretta Chapel which houses the mysterious, miraculous, staircase which draws visitors from all over the world.

  1. Ah, yes! The Basilica Cathedral of St. Francis! I think it's a lovely historical building, and I love the services there...all choreographed beautifully with stirring music. The pastor, Monsignor Jerome Martinez, is very charismatic and beloved by all. In all the years I've been going to Santa Fe, I have never been to the Loretta Chapel...don't know why, but I never made it there.

  2. Thank you Kate for the wonderful info. Do I detect a hint of home sickness ?

There is a "feeling" I experience in Santa Fe, that I don't experience anywhere else! Magical place!
