Back Roads

We headed north from Lafayette, Indiana, toward Lake Michigan, where we would turn west to get to Chicago.

We were getting tired of the traffic and the lack of scenery from the freeway, so we turned west on a small state highway.(Indiana 24).

It took us by farm after farm, plowed field after plowed field but there was no traffic and we thought very relaxing.

  1. I can imagine why you took the relaxing way. Without traffic you can see so much more and enjoy your beautiful country.

  2. Travel on rural roads (blue highways) is the very best way to travel...you have photoed some scenes that prove this theory!
