The Rodeo Queen

My niece Vinnie is flying out to Oregon to a friend's birthday celebration; which is a costume party. If you are from Texas, what could be more perfect than to go as a Rodeo Queen....and she knew the perfect place to look for a costume.
I pictured this boot collection in a previous blog (May 2013) when I was a guest at a luncheon on a ranch south of Ft. Worth. Maudi who is the owner, is a friend of Vinny's step-mother and was more than happy to fix her up.

I think this outfit certainly fits the bill for Rodeo Queen. The custom made shirt is covered in Swarovski crystals, as is the hat band. Throw in some matching boots and a pair of black jeans....and you have mastered the look. Oops, I forgot to take a picture of the crystal studded belt buckle. A rodeo Queen always has a glitzy belt buckle. I will try to post a picture of Vinny ready for the party.

Those crystals are heavy. I am betting the shirt alone weighs five pounds.

  1. She made some good choices. One of my old fantasies is a desire to be a cowgirl!
