Travel

When one of my (many ) sisters returned from her first International trip I bought her a small framed quote.

Then I turned around, and went back, and bought myself one. I so agree with what it says. How about you?

* quote attributed to Mary Anne Radmacher-Hershey

  1. This is so true, people become more openminded when they have seen other cultures then their own. It is sad not everyone is able to travel but I am lucky I did and it sure enriched my life.

  3. LOVE that framed quote...may I use it and add to my email signature, which already has this quote from a person in Mazatlan, Mexico:

"Food is for the body; Reading is for the mind,
...but, travel, ah travel, that is for the soul"...
    Luis Miguel

Travel gives me energy and feeds my soul. I've used every opportunity to travel available to me over the years. When teaching I brought back images and resource material to my classroom. Retirement has been a gift to travel and stay for periods both in the US sand abroad. Leaving for Cuba this coming Saturday!!

    1. Yes Kate..Oh I am envious. We had friends who went on a mission trip to Cuba recently. When they came back, they had a typical dinner that was served there (black beans and rice) and showed us all their very interesting pictures. Have a wonderful trip...Can't wait for the pictures!
