It's a Record

Yes it is. It is growing on the side of the little state highway as you drive thorough this mountain town.
The road is lined with these trees, but this one has a plaque in front of it. It is this state's largest narrow leaf cottonwood tree and the second largest in the nation.
It has a rather large trunk
and stands very tall. If you are ever in town you need to stop and see our record breaking tree!
