I belong to an organization where you can "adopt a senior" . Well not exactly adopt....but have a one on one relationship with. My Grandmother, and mother are no longer with us ....and actually I never did live close to home. I signed up for this several years ago thinking I was giving back to the community. But, in retrospect it has actually worked in reverse. My "Rita" fills so many voids in my life. I didn't realize how much I missed her generation. One thing I really love is when Rita tells me about world war II. You see Rita is from Naples, Italy...and married an American service right after the war.
