What Color?
I am having a decorating dilemma . Our sofa needs to be recovered. At the moment, it is red. Red was really in when I bought it, and I still like red, and am not terribly concerned with what is "in". We have a large antique rug on the hardwood floors in the great room (living room) that we would like to keep. As you can see, I do like bright colors.
.So, maybe I can cover the sofa in another of the colors, like the light blue or possibly the cream color, and then I could have some colorful throw pillows? Do you like bright colors. Any advice?

ReplyDeleteI discussed it with S and we both think the light and dark blue colours would be nice on the tapestry. And maybe a red accent in the pillows if you can't miss the bright colour.
ReplyDeleteWe have had a red sofa for many years too, so I know your feeling for bright colours. I don't like white interiors, we have a lot of colours in the house, blue kitchen and bedroom!
I have a solution. Send us the rug for our sunroom, then you can start from scratch :)
ReplyDeletei don't do light colors for sofas. not with plentiful dog hair. too much wear and tear shows.
ReplyDeleteBecause I am thinking of going for a soft blue shade on my sofas, that is the colour I would choose, and I think that it would look stunning against your lovely rug.
ReplyDeleteThe blues are IT!! Accent colors could pick up some of the other colors in the tapestry.
ReplyDeleteI have a comfy big sofa in RED :) also Janey, love it.. I think we may have similar taste, i also have a similar carpet that I had sent back from Egypt on my wooden floors :) maybe the blue would work, or re cover in a slightly different red :)
