I run across a lot of rabbits around here on my morning walk.
Their first defense, when they see me, is to freeze in their tracks. I guess they are hoping they will blend in with their surroundings and not be see. Then of course, they quickly hop away.

Deer do that too but they also keep wide eyes open in case you tread their way.

ReplyDeleteRabbits proliferate in our area. Took Wild Wendy for an early morning walk and saw 6 rabbits within 3 blocks. Many more were hidden. The fence is this photo looks well-maintained.
