We were on Seacrest Beach which is in the Florida panhandle between Pensacola, and Tallahassee. The is a small road below Hwy 98 called 30A and it is pristine. No high rise condos, just two and three story new cottages and most of the for rent.
We had a beautiful view from our deck.
Our four year old and seven year old were so thrilled to see bunk beds built into the front hallway.
We staked out our spot on the beach early every morning for a day
of splashing in the waves and digging in the sand.
During the middle part of the day the kids enjoyed the shaded porch and a few had naps.We had several nice dinners out, attended a kids disco dance with a DJ, a fun splash pad and ended the night playing games,
that is after hitting the beach again for sunset.
It all it was absolutely perfect!....and I had long but nice trip back to the mountains.
It sounds like you had fun.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place for a vacation. I'm feeling like a day at the ocean soon too. The weather is hot but not unbearable! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteSounds a perfect family holiday.
ReplyDeleteThere no better holiday for young children than a seaside one. I have been in Florida in March when it was more than hot enough for me so imagined, like you, that it would be too hot in the summer.
ReplyDeleteWe also watched the sunsets every evening and the sunrises too all of which were spectacular.
That sounds as a very relaxed stay there with the family. The sand looks so white! Kids with beach and water is always a great combination!
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
ReplyDeleteYou have been brave for teaming up with such energetic young ones but no doubt did they enjoy it thoroughly and thus ALL enjoyed it!
Not easy for traveling back to the mountains but you made it; another labor of love for your family and it creates warm memories forever!
Sending you hugs and thanks for your visit.
