Back to the Home Tour

The second home on our tour, takes us from the lake, (previous blog), back into the middle of town in the HistoricDistrict. There are strict guidelines for building in this area. The home owners said it was a "process', but doable
The new home looks right at home among it's vintage neighbors.

I like the shaded, inviting front porch.\

When you walk in you are surprised to see the high vaulted ceiling in the living room.

The dining table in the adjoining room is set with old family dishes

and the ceiling is a work of art, by a local craftsman.

It has a nice size kitchen for such a small home. I'd like to have that stove!

The powder room sink has hand painted fish in the bowl. Not surprising since the man of the house is an avid fisherman.

There is a nice collection of western art on the walls, as the wife is an artist herself.

The master bedroom is down stairs, with French doors out onto and inviting deck.

There are two guest rooms upstairs. This one on the masculine side

and the other more feminine.

as you can see by the dressing table.

Tomorrow we head north to the banks of the river, for a large hand crafted log home.
