Happy Fourth

For the first time that I can remember, this little town has split the Fourth of July festivities. They had the fire works display last night and the parade and games in the park will be today on the fourth,

which meant we had our  firework watching party a day early. In answer to your question, no we are not hunters…

In addition to hotdogs baked  beans and macaroni salad we had a whole array of desserts.Out friend Betty made the cake.
Bundled up against the mountain chill,

we had our usual ringside seats to view the fireworks.

  1. Yummy with the food!! I remember when we were newly married, we lived in the San Diego area. Our tradition for 4th of July was to go to Coronado, close to San Diego, for dinner and then the fireworks over the bay. We were surprised one year when the 4th was on a Sunday that the fireworks were the night before and we missed them. I know several of the cities here put their firework displays on last night.

    Great view for the fireworks!

    Happy 4th!

  2. Happy 4th Janie. No fireworks in Summit County but a lot of tourists! Thankfully, we've been getting rain.

Happy 245th Independence Day to you and yours.
Fireworks still active here as I type... for days I must say.
The food you mention sounds delicious and you kept warm well.
