On Top of the World

 I took a hike this weekend, with my husband Tom, and three girlfriends. It was to the east of town, a short hike, but with a lot of elevation gain (1200 ft). A perfect day weather wise, but I was still surprised that there were so many wildflowers still blooming.
 
 White ones 
 
sunny yellow ones
 
a few lavender here and there
 
and some pretty mossy plants.
 
It actually helped that they were right along the edge of the trail because they kept me going on what was a mostly straight up trail!
 
We had lunch at the very top,
 
and were rewarded with this view.

    Your wildflowers are the ones I'm seeing here in Breckenridge, too - yarrow, arnica, and fireweed. Your hike took you to the top of the world!

      Thank you Barb. I keep trying to look up the flowers in my Colorado flower book and get lost!.Yes this hike takes you way up there!

    It is the climb worth very well, what a view you had! It looks like a calendar picture.
