A Morning Walk

There is only an hour time change between Texas and Colorado...but we have a hard time adjusting, and find ourselves getting up way too early.
So we drove south of town at the first hint of light to have a walk at our lake ( San Cristobal). The above shot is of the Lake Fork of the Gunnison River as it meanders toward to Lake.
We usually have pretty heavy winds in June, but this morning it was very calm.
So calm that there were great reflections in the water.
I was excited to see a small Bald Eagle, but wishing I had brought my camera that has a better zoom. There usually is an Eagle at the lake, but you have to go early.

  1. I can see the eagle! What beauty everywhere you look! I need to get a better strap for my camera to make it easier to carry. Hugs!

  2. Dearest Janey,
You got a great reward for walking this morning and spotting a bald eagle.
Lovely surroundings and even more so with the winds being calm...
    Hugs,

  3. Dear Janey - I can just make out the Bald Eagle too - I think that on a beautiful day the early morning is best time of the day to be around, and regret that I don't do it more often.
