It was a rainy cool day again yesterday. High of only 52 degrees. So, I was happy that one of my girlfriends decided to have a ladies brunch. She has a monogram machine, and we were to bring something we wanted monogrammed.
Well, we never got around to that. We ate and talked and laughed the afternoon away. Anne is from a small town in Alabama (in the winter), and she has the cutest accent!
I got a kick out of her napkins. All southern people know what grits are. Do You? The drink is called a Red Rooster. We arrived at 10:30am, so I told her I would try a fourth of a glass. I promise that is all I had....but the large pitcher was soon empty....no wonder we didn't get to the monogramming!
Ann has a full sized wooden bear that is peering into her kitchen window. We actually have real bears that do that around here. I have had that happen twice. I would even have a difficult time with the wooden one. I would feel like someone was watching me. It was a fun way to spend the day.
