I have complained in recent days about the smoke in the air around here, which is blowing in from the fires in the western U.S. Mind you I do have compassion for those folks....I just don't like the smoky skies here.
This is a shot that I took about 6:30am this morning. It is when the sun comes over the mountain behind us to the east, and hits the very top of T-Mountain to the west. I always encourage my guests to get up early, and see how the effect turns the mountain orange. I have written about this before.
This the the same shot about mid morning. As you can see, T-Mountain is no longer orange. What I notice, for the first time in weeks, is that there is a smoke free sky. Our clear blue skies have returned!
