Our street is a very big mess at the moment.
The city is putting in new water and sewer lines.
They are also installing new water meters. I have been watching these guys. One guy dug this whole in just a couple of hours.
They arrive before sun up and I took this picture through our window at nearly 7pm at night. If I worked as hard as they do I wouldn't be able to walk the next day.I am thankful that we have such strong men to do these kinds of jobs.

That really is chaotic work to have to deal with.
ReplyDeleteIt will be good to have it done...but what a mess! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe same is going on here, at eight we hear the heavy trucks passing by our bedroom. I admire those men too, they work all day out in the cold, only with frost they had a delay, but with 4 degrees C it is still cold outside, at least for me...
ReplyDeleteOh my, looks like a huge mess. I bet you'll be glad when it's done.
ReplyDeleteDearest Janey,
ReplyDeleteIndeed, one can only admire such workers and someone has to do the hard and dirty work.
Hope it soon will be DONE as it is quite an interruption for all living there.
Hugs,
Mariette
I'm sure you'll enjoy the benefits of the new water and sewer lines Janey, but not much peace when it's going on 😊 they do seem to be getting on with it pretty speedily though.
ReplyDeleteI am impressed by the hours they work.
