New Hip

 Well this was the week (finally) that my Tom got his new hip.


The surgery took place at a new orthopedic hospital and it was beautiful. That extra room has a pull out bed, another t.v. and a mini fridge for anyone that wants to spend the night with the patient, but since  our house was less than 10 minutes away, I decided just to go home.



The view was pretty amazing too. The trinity river was down below with jogging trails on both sides.


There were a lot of bikers too.
and yes, since this is Texas we even had a horse or two strolling by.
Hubby

We were given a long list of instructions Guess I had better read them too.
Word has it that these are patients that didn’t. I am hoping this setup was an April Fools joke.

    Wow, so glad that this is all behind you and especially for your dear Tom!
    What a very convenient new orthopedic hospital, and so nearby for you.
    Yeah, what an April Fools joke those two dolls...
    No, not played any tricks on anyone.
    Drove back and forth to Atlanta and was so lucky, no traffic jam but both ways there was tremendous traffic backup on the other side... Driving those 2+ hours one-way is easy when the weather is fine and traffic not bad. Feeling for all those people and especially truckers that got stuck!
    Happy Easter to you both and we stay put, due to heavy Easter traffic but we escape later...

    I just put a meme up at Facebook, and noted that I could have written that my ex-brother-in-law had died in a car wreck, but if that was actually the case, I'd be adding fireworks to the post, so no. No gags.

    Hubby looks good, standing right up again. Glad all went well. The clinic looks very luxurious, almost like a hotel. Wish him all the best!

    Before you know it Janey Tom will be striding around again. My older sister had it done a few years ago, good as gold now.

    That looks like a great place to get a new lease on life. I didn't fool anyone yesterday but our weather is fooling us. Way too hot for this time of year.
