The Cold Front

The cold front finally made it to south Texas last night...and I am very pleased. I made a big pot of soup (turkey kielbasa vegetable) and we will eat on it all week, mainly at lunch. I cook less since we have become empty nesters, but I do like eating at home. Do you still cook a big meal every night?

  1. Hello:
There is something very comforting about a bowl of delicious homemade soup and this looks particularly good. The really cold weather has yet to reach us but the nights are now on the chilly side.

  2. not hardly. :)

we were below freezing this morning, but not for long - just a skim on the water and hard frost everywhere.

  4. That looks very good Janey, I would love to taste it. I did the cooking here every day for about thirty years. Now Stef does the weekend cooking and I do the weekdays.

  5. That pot looks terrific; soup, alternating with stew in the winter, is a dish that I make all year round. We eat well in this house!

  6. Yummy looking soup janey, I could live on soup and fresh bread in winter, so comforting! I do cook most nights but these days not such big meals, something light and tasty!
