A Party of Two

My Tom celebrated a monumental birthday yesterday. Like a lot of people around the world....special occasions had to be cancelled.
So, here is a hazy shot of him sitting out in our courtyard where we were having a party of two. ☹️
I did bake him his favorite cookies...instead of a cake.

Even though we had to cancel our five daughters coming to town, we were able to be together last night  thanks to new technology....with the app Zoom. So, Katy in Austin.TX. Stacy in Charlotte, NC, Kristen in Saldo, TX. Kelly in Houston, TX and Kerry in Atlanta, GA. They also put together a video of Tom through the years.....It was very touching and yes there were a few tears.
They all promised that as soon as this is all over...we can again plan our celebration!

    We, too, have been having family Zoom sessions. It's not the same, but better than nothing. Happy birthday to Tom!

    This will definitely be a birthday that Tom will remember - belated birthday greetings to him.
    One of my granddaughters is celebrating a special birthday today, and we had planned to be there with her, but it was not to be. We shall have to have a big celebration later. We shall speak see, of course, on the good old computer tonight.

    We're lucky with modern technology for still being able to hear/see each other and in color too!
    Let's hope indeed that soon we will be able to catch up on a lot of things. A big happy special birthday to your Tom and many more to enjoy with his loved ones.

    That sounds like a great celebration. Tell Tom I said Happy Birthday. I'm supposed to attend a Zoom dinner party tomorrow night. I've already did a couple of zoom interactions with friends. I'm not sure how this dinner party will turn out the the happy hour with two close friends was wonderful!

    Happy belated monumental 😉 birthday wishes to Tom, I'm sure you still had a lovely evening Janey, how wonderful to be able to speak to all your daughters at the same time, I am a bit of a technophobe but even I can see the benefits. I virtually celebrated my granddaughter's 6th birthday yesterday on Skype 💜
