Cough Cough

Our view to the south usually looks like this.

Although, if the wind is blowing from the north....it looks like this. Colorado usually has at least a couple of forest fires in the summer. This year we have had four....and they are still burning. The largest one is a ways north of us, but the smoke travels for miles, making impossible to go hiking....or even outside for that matter. Happy to report it is clear today.

  1. Forest fires must be frightening if you live near to them, so I am pleased to know that the area where you live is safe, and that the travelling smoke has now drifted away.

  2. Yes, Summit County has also experienced smoke/haze in the air. Luckily, we've gotten rain the past 3 days (today hours of it). The sky is now free of smoke.

  3. Dearest Janey,
It makes one wonder if still those get mainly caused by reckless people...?! A sad fact for so many mammals and also humans living in that area.

  6. I can certainly relate. It's been looking like that here for the past 4 days. However today I'm looking out the window and blue skies.
