The University

We are still on our trip around the country (U.S). We stopped for the night in Lafayette, Indiana

Sitting on the banks of the Wabash River (in Lafayette) is Purdue University. It has a beautiful campus with around 30,000 under graduates.

It was snowing when we arrived, but it turned out just to be a dusting.

  1. When I was young and carefree, living and flying out of Chicago, I dated a Purdue graduate so we went to many football games. It is a fun town, as I recall. Re. your comment re. Carondelet Village, yes, I would Love to downsize and move to that wonderful retirement community, which is the best I have seen anywhere plus it's on a college campus and is almost in my backyard. I love to travel so we'd just have to leave and turn the key plus dogs and pets are allowed there. BUT, my darlin' DH turns ashen when I suggest it. He definitely is not ready to move. So many matrimonial compromises!!
