A while back I explained that the state flower of Texas is the Bluebonnet (lupine family). If you want to see Bluebonnets, come to Texas in late March or early April.

My husband and I took a drive on Sunday. Leaving  Houston we headed west to the small town of Chappell Hill. where we found country roads flanked by a sea of blue.

Mixed in with these Bluebonnets are another Texas favorite: The Indian Paintbrush.

Come back tomorrow and I will show you one of our favorite animals....

  1. This looks so beautiful and all in the wild.

  2. yes and no. They are wild, but some medians and roadsides are seeded...and mowing is stopped this time of year...

  3. What a feast for the eyes; I particularly enjoy the bottom photo. Terrific colors and combinations.
