Mudslide

I think I have mentioned before that during the summer I have to drive sixty miles one way to the grocery store. Well, yesterday my friend Sandra and I went together....which is always more fun. We got manicures, and went out to lunch in addition to grocery shopping.

Why the mud you ask? Well, there was a downpour and we were stopped, on the only road back into our town, on the way home. The rain had caused a mudslide, and the road was blocked.

There ended up being over twenty cars, all just going no where. There is no cell service on this long stretch of road, so we couldn't even call our husbands to tell them where we were.

Finally, after what seemed like forever, heavy equipment arrived from little Lake City, and cleared the road, so that we could continue along a very muddy road....Home at last!

  2. Pretty remote; quite an adventure shopping. Guess there's no Whole Foods or Trader Joe's around there!
