Early Morning Sky

I did a double take when I got up yesterday. The sky was actually pink and blue.

This is the last morning  that we will wake up to a view of Round Top Mountain..  until May .. The car is packed to the gills (including the pod on top) and like the  birds, it is time to head south. We are leaving a little earlier than usual, as we have several functions to attend in Texas. I am not signing off. I will have my computer on the road, and will stay in touch. We have had a wonderful summer and have some great plans for winter...................
.  Stay tuned....Janey
Did I mention that Tom  had help loading the car? :)

  1. Hello:
Your leaving for another year must, inevitably, be tinged with sadness. But we are sure that you take with you to Texas many happy memories, not least of that wonderful Tiepolo sky.

    A safe journey!

    1. Jane,

It is bitter sweet, saying goodbye to summer friends.such a beautiful state and our house which we love. But, most everyone else is leaving too...and the weather will turn severe. Always look forward to our return in May.

  4. The second photo is so cute, somebody has come to say goodbye! Must be nice to have two houses, here many people have one in France and do the same, half year here and there. I hope you will go on telling us about Houston or whatever your mystery plans are....

    1. We enjoyed the company while we loaded the car!
Sometimes two homes is a lot of red tape (and work) But, we so enjoy getting out of the south Texas heat every summer.

Houston is certainly different...and I will keep right on rambling!
