The Old Gas Station

I spotted this little beauty in the small  town of Walsenburg, Colorado which is where we stayed overnight in on our way here.
I think this would be fun to paint (if I knew how). It is an old gas station probably built sometime in the 1920"s or 30's?Although there were some still in operation when I was a kid. The gas pumps would have been between the two columns in front...and as I recall, we called them filling stations.

  1. Tree and building, good combination to paint...

  2. How they have changed over the years now. Start a painting course Janey!

    1. I would Marianne, but I tried that once. I think you are born with that also need to learn to draw first,

  3. How is this structure used now?

  4. It reminds me of one here- it's still around, but used for something else these days.
