Frist Walk

Okay, it is time to get out of the cabin..... and go for a walk.
Our little town is pedestrian friendly. We have miles of groomed walking trails.
This trail is leading  up to the walking bridge
There are reminders here and there that we were once a mining town.
The walking bridge from my side of town to the other side of town.
A shot of the river it is crossing. The Lake Fork of the Gunnison River
Sometimes I need to remind myself to look up. Snowy T Mountain in the distance
Our new children's Day Care is just across the bridge
We will turn on  Henson St. Yes, a lot of our roads are not paved. This one is wide because in the 1950's the Texas oil men flew up in their private planes, and used this as a landing strip. There weren't a lot of rules back then.
You pass our 1877 Courthouse. The small brown building on the left is the Sheriff's department

You must be getting weary....I will continue this walk tomorrow.I hope the weather will be as nice as it was today...Janey

  1. Dearest Janey,
Indeed you are in such a pristine natural environment. Quite surprised though that it still is unpaved as of today!
Enjoy your summer home and surroundings.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

PS we did buy those macaroons at Trader Joe's but found them rather light and fluffy...
